Committees

Church Home Committee

The church home committee is tasked to investigate various options to either establish our church home using our existing buildings or find a new location. Some of the information to be gathered and processed are:

  • Current market situation for commercial real estate

  • Feasibility to sell some or all properties compared to remodeling existing or buying new property

  • Reviewing property expenses, deferred maintenance costs, etc.

  • Discuss vision for mid to long-term use of property versus online options

Fundraising Committee

The fundraising committee reviews and develops fundraising opportunities, including efforts to inspire regular contributions. This committee will work closely with board members and the senior minister to strategize the financial health and future of our community. Members of this committee should:

  • be noticeably involved (virtual or in person) in our community,

  • demonstrate a regular financial commitment to UFW,

  • and be willing to promote fundraisers within the community and beyond.

Membership Committee

The membership committee primarily answers the question, “What does it mean to be a member of UFW?” The following qualifications are sought to participate in this committee:

  • UFW membership for at least one year

  • Intention to renew UFW membership commitment for 2023

  • A consistent commitment to and passion for UFW
