Small Groups Moving Back on Campus
Small groups build the foundation of any spiritual community, and 2021 will be the year of enhancing UFW’s small group experience even more. With a consistent and safe approach for each group to remain relevant while growing to be even more accessible to those who just recently joined, we will move toward a increasingly accessible platform to encourage the engagement within and without our precious UFW community.
Since April 2021, small groups have been invited to return to the UFW campus via their group representatives under conditions that reflect necessary safety requirements and structures to enhance the group experience for those senior for many years as well as those who want to newly join.
Among those conditions are:
a consistent fee schedule for those groups entering a rental agreement,
a structured approach to the collection and processing of love offerings for those groups who are donation-based,
a clarification of expectations and requirements regarding the use of UFW’s facilities,
and a harmonious approach to the small group experience, offering inclusivity and equity across all participants.
To encourage the transition into a new and evolving experience, groups are asked to abide by some basic written agreements before returning to campus. Group representatives have been invited to meet with Rev. Jean-Marie Schweizer to review these agreements as of April 2021 to prepare for the group’s return on campus. Those groups remaining virtual for the time being will be invited to follow the same principles in a future phase soon.
For more information and set up a meeting, group representatives may contact our office at info@unityfortworth.org or 817-423-2965. Any group member wondering about their group returning to campus should get in touch with their group representative as to the status of their efforts to review the agreements.
We are looking forward to welcoming back our small groups on campus as they feel comfortable doing so. It has been quite a year, and we are grateful for everyone facing the adversity and continue to connect within their means. A special thanks goes to all group representatives who have stepped up during a difficult time to support our community with their group engagement. Thank you for all you do.
